More Info »There are 2 main versions of TRS-XENIX. TRS-XENIX 1.x which was based on Microsoft’s XENIX v2.3 was released for the Model 16 in 1983. XENIX 3.x (Tandy dropped the “TRS-” prefix at Microsoft’s request) was based on Microsoft’s Xenix V3 and was released in 1985 for the Tandy 6000. XENIX 3.x includes backwards compatibility libraries so all software written for TRS-XENIX v1.x will run on XENIX v3.x.
